Travel SIM bundles

Check your phone. Install your eSIM. Get online abroad.

TISA Travel SIM works on eSIM-compatible, unlocked phones. Install it before you fly and use it for mobile data the moment you land.

1

Check compatibility

Dial *#06#. If you see an EID, your phone supports eSIM.

2

Install on WiFi

Scan your QR code before travelling - it's also saved to your TISA account.

3

Turn roaming on

Enable data roaming on the travel eSIM when abroad. It's prepaid, so no extra charges.

Fastest way to check your phone

*#06#

Open your phone dialler and enter the code above. If an EID number appears (a long number, shown separately from the IMEI), your phone supports eSIM. No EID means it doesn't.

Compatible devices

Most phones from the last few years support eSIM. Your phone also needs to be carrier-unlocked.

iPhone

Mainland-China iPhones use two physical SIMs and don't support eSIM.

Samsung Galaxy

Google Pixel

Pixel 3 and newer - Pixel 4 onward all support eSIM.

A few early Pixel 3 variants are excluded.

Other devices

Recent Motorola, Sony Xperia, Oppo, Honor, cellular iPad and many newer flagship phones.

How to install

Your QR code appears on screen the moment you buy (and is saved to your account).

  1. Connect to WiFi and have your QR code on another screen.
  2. Go to Settings > Mobile Data > Add eSIM > Use QR Code.
  3. Scan the QR code, then tap Continue and Add eSIM.
  4. Label it "Travel". Keep your normal SIM for calls and texts; set the travel eSIM as your data line abroad.
  5. Turn Data Roaming ON for the travel eSIM (prepaid, so there's no extra charge).
  1. Connect to WiFi and have your QR code on another screen.
  2. Open Settings > Connections / Network > SIM manager > Add eSIM (or "Download a SIM instead").
  3. Scan the QR code and confirm the download.
  4. Turn the eSIM on and set it as your mobile data line abroad.
  5. Turn Data Roaming ON for the travel eSIM (prepaid, so there's no extra charge).
Install before you fly, on WiFi. An eSIM QR code can usually be installed only once, so scan it on the phone you'll travel with. Next time you travel, just buy another plan and it loads onto this same eSIM - no reinstalling.
