Business Cookie Policy

What this covers

This policy covers every page under tisa.one/business/, which is where the Cloud PBX, Business SIM, Pocket Office SIM, broadband and business messaging pages live, along with the quote builder, the price guide and these legal pages.

It is written for the person deciding whether to buy from us, so it says exactly what is stored rather than describing every technology that exists. If you also use the customer portals at business.tisa.one or sms.tisa.one, those are separate systems that you log into, and what they store is governed by your account terms.

What cookies and similar technologies are

A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to keep, and hands back to that same website on your next visit. Two other browser stores do a similar job: local storage, which stays until it is cleared, and session storage, which is emptied when you close the browser.

The law treats all three the same way, so this policy treats them the same way too. Everything listed in clause 4 is declared whether or not it is technically a cookie file.

The law we work to

Storing or reading information on your device is governed by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003. Where that information is personal data, UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 apply as well. We follow ICO guidance on both.

Under PECR, storage that is strictly necessary to provide a service you have asked for does not require consent. Anything beyond that does, and it must be a real choice: no cookie walls, no pre-ticked boxes, and no assuming consent from the fact that you kept scrolling.

What these pages actually store

This list was produced by driving a clean browser through the business pages on 8 September 2026 and recording everything that was set. It is short because these pages are not instrumented for marketing.

What we do not do

On the business pages we do not set:

• Analytics cookies. There is no Google Analytics on these pages, and no _ga, _gid or _gat.
• Advertising or retargeting cookies. There is no Meta pixel, no _fbp and no ad_id.
• Any cookie used to build a profile of you, or to follow you to another website.

We do not sell or share what your browser stores here with anyone for their own marketing.

Other companies your browser contacts

Loading these pages makes your browser talk to three other hosts. None of them is an advertising network.

Consent, and how to change your mind

Everything in clause 4 is either strictly necessary for the site to work safely, or supports a feature you have chosen to use. That is why the business pages do not open with a consent banner demanding a decision before you can read anything.

If we ever introduce anything beyond that, for example analytics, we will ask for your consent first, we will keep it as easy to refuse as to accept, and this policy will be updated before the change goes live.

You can remove what has already been stored at any time by clearing site data for tisa.one in your browser, which is described in clause 8. Nothing on these pages will stop working permanently if you do; the site simply forgets that the chat prompt has been shown.

Controlling cookies in your browser

Every modern browser lets you see what a site has stored, delete it, and block future storage. The settings are usually under privacy or site permissions.

• Chrome and Edge. Settings, then Privacy and security, then Third party cookies, and Site settings to remove data for one site.
• Safari. Settings, then Privacy, then Manage website data.
• Firefox. Settings, then Privacy and security, then Cookies and site data.

Blocking strictly necessary storage across the board can stop parts of any website working, including the security check that protects this one.

How long things are kept

The retention for each item is in the table at clause 4. Session storage disappears when you close the browser. The security cookie lasts up to a year. The widget key lasts until you clear it.

We review these lifespans so they stay proportionate to the job each one does.

Your rights

Where anything stored here is personal data, you have the rights UK GDPR gives you: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability, and the right to withdraw consent where processing relies on it.

Children

These are business pages, intended for adults acting for a business. We do not knowingly collect data from children through them, and nothing here is directed at children.

Tell us first at [email protected] so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113, whether or not you come to us first.

Changes to this policy

If we add anything that stores information on your device, this policy is updated before it goes live, and where consent is required we ask for it first. The date at the top always shows the version in force. This version is effective from 8 September 2026.
